Now what's it gonna be...the computer or the car?

Will it get back to normal?? Got a minute...I gotta vent, well it's not really venting...I don't think :) LOL

My week just in the life of electronics...
First my laptop that I hang onto 24 hours a day, like a baby with a Binky...just went back into the shop! I know...{insert gasp}After about 4 days I got it back still not working well, now it's back in for 5 more or so days...{really?} Then my car's has been having trouble steering...yeah...little things like trouble banking turns, parking and just steering in general...remember that movie years ago called "HAL" I think it was...where the computer took over the house and anyone in it, yeah, that's my car!...{Wow} I know!!! and it was making horrible noises....LOL Well, now it's been in the shop now for 5 days!!! Yikes!!! Expensive!!!!! But...it's cool, everything's gonna work out...

In the meantime I had bought myself an Apple computer...now you Apple people don't get up-set with me...I absolutely loved the graphics on those, I thought it would be great for the photo's and all on my shop...that's why I went that direction. But after 2 weeks of trying to learn this Apple with Windows installed on it so I could toggle back and forth so to speak...I took it back today :( {Aw}
I just can't get it down, it's not helping me with the business side of things. Soooo...now I'm having my old Dell wiped clean and putting in new updated versions of my old programs :) I already feel like a happy camper once again :) {YaY!}

I guess I learned that I don't do change well :) My car's like 20 years old...my computer's is newer than the car...but I do have a tendency to hang on :) Well, that's it! :) I have learned that you can live without your laptop! And your car...all you gotta do is use the other old Desktop PC and Swipe your husbands truck off and on... aw...There now...I feel much better!

Finally.....ha! I made it back here...
Its been forever...I can't believe all my time gaps...wow!
So....not a writer!!

Well today...I worked on re-vamping my website...Now it has the "alittlescrappy" name on it too besides the "jammertail designs" now I don't feel like I left "alittlescrappy" out of the loop...
I'm just not making as much jewelry nowadays...
so, thought I should just re-vamp it to show both shops :)

The new site is sweet and short ... it takes you to both sites on Etsy....YAY Then you can get to facebook and the blog here...with a little buttons at the bottom (not shown) in this picture here.
If anyone goes to check it out ... you'll have to let me know what you think and if it behaves alright with the browser you use.

Oh, speaking of Facebook...I just started a {new page} for "alittlescrappy" I didn't know you could have more than {one}page with a {personal main site page}...I was looking around the rules to see, and a couple of weeks or so ago, I found out that you can...so, now I'm just beginning that too. Stop on by and "like" me :) It feels good to catch up on things...well at least computer things....hahaha.... Now I just need to do some housework....yikes!!!

Wow ... Christmas is almost here!

This season has found me sick and with a baddddd head cold sinus infection :(
I can't believe how long this is taking to get over! I'm on my second does of Amox... this should solve it!
I hope :)
I've got some new boas that just came in ... YAY! I will be putting on "alittlescrappy" , probably not until after this weekend though, as this is our early Christmas, when all the kids and us can get together time wise.

I've been busy working on some more Christmas Pendants for a friend ... sorry these photo's are not the best in clarity...

I've just got to get back into my jewelry site ...

Here is a dream of mine ... that I will become a more faithful writer on my blog ... the time always seems so spent ... but, I'm going to try :)

Yay!!! My French stamped clothespins were mentioned in this cool blog the other day :)

I just had to put a little blurp on my site here about Veronica's Blog called Cest La VV. She did a wonderful tablescape for their Thanksgiving meal ... so fun, pumpkins worked into it and all I was thrilled that she'd used my French stamped clothespins to hold a beautiful peacock feather to her green napkins!!!

A Pendant for my Grandson

I got the sweetest phone call the other day from my Grandson :) As you see there is this girl ... who is a friend, who is having a birthday soon and he wanted to know if I could make her a little bauble pendant type necklace with her name in it ... well, what could a Grandma say to that ... LOL

As I was getting things out and ready, I just couldn't believe how long it had been since I had just "whipped out something" YIKES .... I think it's been about a year or so since I've sat down to work with my jewelry products ... I just couldn't believe it!!! Kind of nice to get back into it :) Hopefully ... I won't wait that long again.

Such a sweet treasury!!! I love this, soft pastels yummy vintage and more! Lots of fun items for making crafts and decorating ... beautiful flowers from 32NorthSupplies ... I'm may have to get some of these :) !!! A darling little pin cushion...oh so sweet from the ShabbyQueen! Gorgeous threads and other sewing items listed by MillineryMiss and if you love sewing here's a picture from LolasRoom ... how cool would this picture be hanging in your sewing or craft room. Fun retro items like hats, and a hat box from Jackiedretroboutique and Breathecoutures and Carolmai's store.

These items took me back to the younger days of my Mom ... she had hat boxes for all her hats stored up in her closet and shoe boxes stacked up with all her high heels ... not a stitch out of place, in an era of where hats were worn every Sunday to church with matching shoes, gloves and beautiful fur pieces!!! Wow,I used to just look at Mom and think ... she is just gorgeous! Right out of Vogue!

I truly fell in love with this treasury ... I'm late getting this listed on my blog, time had gotten away from me, but still truly worth the visit to all these shops!

I felt very honored to be included with this lovely group for my ribbon shown here that I carry in my shop at AlittleScrappy. I awoke this morning to the wonderful news that my aLittleScrappy shop had one of the many pretty ribbons I carry listed in another treasury! whoo hoo! Wow, Tobacco Brown last week and the Salmon Pink today! I do have to admit these ribbons are truly beautiful!

I had a flash back the moment I saw this treasury ... now, I know this is shades of corals ... but it's been real hot out here in Oregon lately... and my mind immediately went to those cute little dixie cups of vanilla and orange sherbet ice-cream, the kind we used to get as kids :) I was thinking how refreshing that sounded about now ... but of course, I dont have any :( So for now ... I'll just stare at the treasury and drool .... LOL

So I was reading this morning that Facebook says they are doing away with the "boxes" soon ... I'm not sure what all that means, but just in case I'm storing my "fbml" page that I'd made which is a "box tab" called "come visit me" on here for now minus the blog part since this is the blog :) I don't know why...but thought I might want this coding some day...who knows...LOL So here it sits, until I see what actually does or doesn't disappear on the 23rd of this month :)

Wow...it's been forever since I've been on here to write or so it seems!

I've been away off and on for vacation :) YAY! Doesn't this look fun...some of the grandkids at playing at the beach.

I had left my shop open while gone so that shoppers could shop! Once back, I jumped right back into action :) catching up on all my orders ...YAY

Yep, that's me over by the tree :)

I just renewed my phone and this time I have internet!!! YAY!!! I got the "DROID" not the brand new version, but the one before that.
This was so great! I was able to get online and renew my orders ... no computer or anything, just my phone .... so SUPER stinkin cool. Now I still haven't read the phone manual, which by the way I still need too! Because I'm sure there is a ton of things I could learn out of it, that I didn't know...I'm just so thrilled with the whole internet deal! YAY!!!

Today, I got a posting from "Chibia Adventures", Kataryna had ordered some clothespins from me ... what a sweetheart!
She loves to sew for her little one, I wanted to show off her blog, and say thank you to Kataryna for the write up she did on these clothespins from my shop :) When you get a minute drop by her etsy site too... it's like rainbows over there :)

Awwww...this evening, I found out that one of my new little lacy labels which I call my "cotton doily bits" ... was listed in this Treasury...Yippee!!! What a wonderful sweet soft shade of blue treasury, boy I just barely made it in there, with the one blue flower ... lol !!!

These items in blue look so yummy together, and such a fitting day for that wonderful "pool" blue look, as the weather has been so warm ... right now its 8:43pm it's 85 outside, and 87 inside ... it's warm in my house!

Just looking at this treasury, is calming and cooling! Thank you Metroceramico from NY... I just love your Treasury! And I so appreciate you putting me in it with all these other lovelies!!! I love flowers...and these almost look like they could have been picked right out of my yard. These are the new wool felt felting flower pieces I have added this last week into my etsy shop....some yummy yummy color combo's...felted together, the effect is almost a soft watercolor or tie dyed look. Yumm!

I received my third "Show and Tell" this morning when I got back from church! YAY ... I love show and tells!

Just in time ... celebrating the 4th...Sylvia a wonderful customer and the winner from the "City Crafter Challenge Blog week #10... :) Sylvia was nice enough to share what she has just made using some of my ribbon from on my etsy site ... whoo hoo.

Sylvia mentions in her bio that she is a lady born to create! And when you look over at her blog you will agree with her...she was born to create!!! She loves arts and crafts, making cards and many other projects. She loves to garden and design...totally my kind of girl ...lol !!!

As a crafter ... I had this idea I thought it would be so cool for use in a scrapbook school theme. What I came up with, was a tag that would be light weight, thin and actually worked like a blackboard, it's a shipping tag blackboard.

My New Find

While driving up the coast visiting the antique shops we found this wonderful find in Coos Bay ... I couldn't believe it! It's mine, I snapped it right up .... YAY! Talk about being excited...I've been re-arranging my craft room for my new library card file holder. It stands about 5ft tall and is about 4 ft wide, there are 54 drawers to it and it comes on wheels, I figured I'd never see another one of these babies!!!
I'm lovin it, I'm still trying to figure out where I'm putting everything and I still need to label all the drawers. But WOW! I'm a happy camper :) Very cool! Here's some pics...

She visited my shop one day to buy some French stamped ribbons (thank you very much!) and before I knew it, she mentioned that she had put a link to my Etsy site for a place to get my French ribbons...I feel so honored!!

I've opened up another shop on etsy...YAY! "aLittleScrappy" I've been re-doing the photo's as something happened to my camera which made my pictures not look like usual. I reset my default and I think I got it back to normal now. A Work in Progress...The Mannequin

Here's the scoop ... it all started one day with a dingy grey material body. This poor girl had been sitting out in the rain over at a neighbors house. After a few days of watching her just sit there I couldn't stand it and had to go rescue her. I worked up the nerve to go and ask "can I have the mannequin?" I promise to take good care of her. Like at this point it would matter... lol
My job was cut out for me! First things first she had to be dried out and then the work started. I ended up covering her almost like a pinata with lots of paper and glue. No candy inside this girl. When I finished I was pretty satisfied, however I'm already thinking I'd like to re-do the "look" so one of these days...there will be a do-over. If you've worked on a mannequin drop me a comment and let me know I'd love to come see your girl :)

Ice, Ice and more ice

Brrrrrrrrrrr.....it's been very cold here lately in the Oregon area like everywhere...we've had ice with some wind chills as low as 6 degrees the other day, but it's still so pretty outside when the sun makes it through the crisp and cold. Perfect soup weather!

I got a kick today, I was working in my studio and noticed that lots of Robins were landing

in our Mountain Ash tree...they loveeee........the berries ...then they stammer around...its quite cute!

Signature after the Entry of a Blog

So, I have a question for all the bloggers...I'm fairly new to blogging, and I've been trying to add a signature to the end of my blogs...as you can see on most of them the "font" probably doesn't look like this to you below, because of most browsers not having the same font I'm using here...This is how I would like it to look, if I knew the way to install it correctly...anyone have any answers as to how to have it how up like this, but without the box around it. I've tried a couple different things...but I'm still not there yet.

Found this page last night while searching through facebook...it enables you to add HTML into a box, from what I could see, it can only be used on a "fan page" not on a profile. Then rename tab of the box whatever title you want and it will be on the menu tab that goes across the top of your page...very cool!!

My trip to the Gem Faire in Eugene this weekend...
I finally made it!!! YaY

Here's a preview of some of the goodies I got...this is not the best picture so I'll only list in one for now, hopefully in daylight I can get some better pics. Those red crystal beads in person here, look just like velvet!! wow...but not so much in the pics.

I can't wait to make up some Christmas jewelry with these babies :)

Sickness in the air

My husband has been feeling like he was coming down with something...well it hit! This morning, I was running from the get go...trying to get ready for church, and then fit in a little shopping trip for throat drops, popsicles and the like...just anything that might make him feel better. He did call me his nurse! I felt very complimented on my services :)

I started a batch of soup in the crock-pot first before I left the house...pure brothy type with all the good veggies, I know it hit the spot, but the cold will just have to run it's course. I think, I have a few days before I come down with it...not to be on the negative side of things...just that I misplaced my coffee drink the other day, so proceeded to take a big swig out of his...thinking it was mine.

A goner for sure!

hopefully this will last him a couple of days...

nothing like homemade soup when you sick....sorry honey !!!
